About our guests

Don't have a travel buddy?
No problem. All our tours can be arranged so you can enjoy a cozy group. In fact, most of our guests are solo travelers looking to meet new people while practicing their favorite sport. If you want more privacy, there's the option for private rooms for an extra fee. Mention it when you make your reservation or hit us up!
Who goes on AT Trips?
You'll be hanging out with outdoor enthusiasts who want to experience new and unique things. Our trips usually have a good mix of genders and ages vary depending on a number of factors, including activity level and demands, duration and price.
Can teens join the tour?
This type of experiences are highly enriching for young people who are developing in all aspects. If they can handle the physical and technical demands of the trip, we strongly recommend including them to your trip. It will be a unique gift they will never forget.
Can kids join the tour?
Typically, there are no kids on our tours, but for some of them they can join the group. We have specialized staff who could take care of them while parents are on the mountain. These cases need to be reviewed personally. Give us a shout and we'll sort it out for you.
Are non-skiers welcome to the tour?
Of course they are. In every destination there are many non-ski activities that can be done. These include visiting hot springs, going to a spa, shopping, hiking, snowshoeing and enjoying the amenities of the hotels. Spending the whole morning relaxing in the unique places we will visit is also an amazing experience. It is important that you let us know beforehand so we can have something special prepared!

About our trips

What is the food like?
Our goal is, in addition to finding fresh tracks, to immerse you in our local culture. Food is a fundamental part of the experience, so we carefully choose the places and ingredients we use to refuel.
Are you vegetarian-vegan friendly?
Yeah, we definitely are. We'll take care of any special requests from our guests ahead of time.
What kind of equipment do I need to bring?
All our tours include ski touring/splitboarding activities so a touring all-mountain equipment or similar is a must. You can bring your own or rent on our backcountry rental. We recommend bringing your own boots! Skiers really know how much feet can hurt if they don't fit well.
Is all the group at the same level?
In general, our guests have a good level and can move around easily in the expeditions we offer. When a part of the group starts to fall behind, it will be the decision of the guides in charge if they separate the group.
What's the minimum and maximum group size?
It depends on each tour, but on average, groups are around 8 people. We don't handle groups larger than 12 people or smaller than 4. If you want to travel privately or in small groups, check out our private - custom trips.
Do I need travel insurance?
As with all adventure sports, there are risks that must be taken into account. It is necessary to have insurance to take a trip with us. We highly recommend that our guests take out medical insurance that includes the activities we will be doing as well as air evacuation.
Can you help me book my airline tickets?
For sure! It's important for the whole group to be on the same page with timing so you can make the most of your stay. Hit us up and we'll help you out!

As a platform, we connect with tour operators and guides throughout Chile. This means we have over 40 tours and endless options to customize it to your liking. For foreign guests, we've selected the ones that meet some requirements of an international trip, such as private transportation, bilingual guides, more comfortable accommodations, among others. We also take care of them personally.
What types of trips do you offer?
We're Andes Touring - all our tours include Touring in the Andes. We also include some ski time at ski resorts, always focused on freeride and off-piste.
Do you offer private trips for small groups?
Any experience can be adapted for a group or couple who wants to do it privately. We have a wide variety of options for all levels and preferences. If you don't find what you are looking for, just contact us and together we can create one just for you.
Who are your guides?
We work with the best local experts. All certified UIAGM-FIGMA or ANGM intimately know their terrain and the discipline they will guide you in. They will teach you everything you need and motivate you every step of the way.
Can you help me extend my stay?
Of course. Chile is an incredibly diverse country with endless activities for all tastes. We can include you in another Andes Touring trip or organize non-skiing/snowboarding plans for you.

How much do I have to pay to make a reservation?
To make a reservation, a 30% deposit of the total amount is required. If we're less than 60 days out from departure, a deposit of 100% of the price must be made.
If I'm satisfied with the service, can I give a tip to the guide? How do I do it?
If you think your guide(s) have done an exceptional job and want to reward their effort, a suggested 10% of the trip price is recommended. The guide team will divide all gratuities equally. We recommend you have cash on hand to cover any tips you want to give!
What happens if AT cancels my trip?
There are events out of our control that can postpone or cancel the trip. In general, it doesn't happen, but if it does, refunds will be total and with 30 or more days prior to departure. We can't be held responsible for any additional expenses you incur in preparation for the trip (including plane tickets, visa fees, equipment, medical expenses, or others).
What happens if my trip doesn't have enough participants?
Each trip requires a minimum number of participants. If we enroll enough participants to carry out a trip, it is confirmed and we will notify our guests so they can make their preparations. In most cases, if a trip doesn't have enough participants, it can be moved to another departure date or trip. If not, the deposit will be fully refunded or you can pay an additional fee to carry out the trip with fewer participants.
What if I don't need every hotel/activity/etc. on my trip?
Trip price is quoted as a package; credits are not given for services not used. Exceptions can be made if coordinated in advance (preferably at booking time). Each case is evaluated individually. Hit us up with your plan!
