Our company has established evacuation procedures, and our guides are trained and equipped to carry them out. However, in some cases, external resources like helicopters or ambulances may be required. In Chile, government agencies provide rescue services free of charge, but availability is limited, and response times can be lengthy. Private services can be a faster and more efficient alternative when time is critical.
Chile has a well-developed healthcare system, but some of the areas we travel to are remote. In case of a medical emergency, transfer to a hospital in a larger city or a private clinic may be necessary. To join our trips, you are required to have insurance that covers emergency medical treatment, hospitalization, and medical evacuation. Proof of coverage must be provided before your trip begins.
If you get sick, injured, or face a last-minute family emergency or any other situation that forces you to cancel your trip before or during your journey, we are unable to issue refunds as stated in our Terms & Conditions. Therefore, we strongly recommend adding trip protection when purchasing your travel insurance. If you choose not to, you accept the financial risk associated with your trip costs.
