Overview

Overview

Spend the day learning the fundamentals of ski touring, from using climbing skins to making efficient transitions between uphill and downhill. We’ll take you to carefully selected terrain, ideal for practicing these skills while exploring the stunning landscapes of the Andes.

Along the way, you’ll also learn how to choose safe routes and use essential avalanche safety equipment. Whether you’re looking to transition into backcountry skiing or simply experience it for the first time, this trip is designed to equip you with the skills and confidence to navigate the mountains safely.

We select the location together with you based on current conditions, as well as your group’s experience, skill level, and interests. For this program, we can choose from La Parva, El Colorado, Valle Nevado, and Lagunillas ski resorts for a lift-assisted experience, or venture deeper into the Andes for a full backcountry adventure in areas like El Yeso, Valle Arenas, Valle El Morado, or Valle La Engorda.
