Southern Volcanoes 4×4 Campervan Ski Expedition

Day 1 — Arrival in Temuco and departure toward the mountains

Meet at Temuco Airport (ZCO), organize equipment, complete the safety briefing and stock the campervan before driving toward the region with the strongest weather and snow outlook.

Days 2 to 4 — First volcano region

Three guided ski touring or ski mountaineering days. Potential objectives may include Lonquimay, Llaima, Tolhuaca, Sierra Nevada or nearby forest zones, depending on access, stability and group performance.

Day 5 — Relocation, recovery and hot springs

A flexible day to move to a new region, rest, resupply and visit a hot spring. A shorter ski objective may replace the rest period when conditions justify it.

Days 6 to 7 — Second volcano region

Two more guided ski days in the best available southern zone, potentially around Pucón, Puerto Varas or the Lakes District. Objectives are selected according to snow, wind, access and volcanic restrictions.

Day 8 — Final objective and return to Temuco

Depending on flight times, location and conditions, we complete a shorter sixth ski objective before returning to Temuco Airport (ZCO). Guests may also request a custom finish in Pucón or Puerto Varas for an additional cost.

Rates are per person and based on one shared campervan. The published “from” rate is based on 4 guests. Final pricing depends on the vehicle, route and type of mechanized access used.

Accommodation is shared inside a winter-equipped 4×4 campervan. The format is intentionally simple and mobile, with limited space but maximum flexibility to move between valleys and mountain zones.

Vehicle model, interior layout and sleeping configuration may vary and will be confirmed before booking. Overnight locations are selected according to safety, access, weather and local regulations. Guests must be comfortable sharing compact living space and helping with simple campervan routines.

Some of the locations we visit are over 3,500 meters (11,500 ft.) above sea level.

This is not a fixed-destination itinerary. Resorts, valleys and the order of activities may change according to snow stability, weather, road access, operator availability and group performance.

Mechanized access is subject to operating conditions and third-party availability. When it cannot operate, the guide will replace it with the most appropriate ski touring or lift-assisted objective available. Guests must have previous touring experience and be able to ski variable off-piste snow confidently.
